I wake up every day excited to go to the office because I love what I do. Orthodontics is not just about straightening teeth but giving each patient that perfect smile they will enjoy for the rest of their lives. Orthodontics is a unique profession in that it allows me to meet so many different and interesting people and gives me the opportunity to build a relationship with them over time. I love that my patients are excited to come to my office because they know that every member of our team is here to make sure they get the best care.

Education and Professional Achievements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering – University of Michigan
• Doctor of Dental Medicine – Harvard School of Dental Medicine
• Master of Science in Orthodontics – University of Michigan

I am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.  Only approximately 25% of all orthodontists are Board Certified.  Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics signifies a unique achievement—a large step beyond the three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics. The current procedure requires the candidate to demonstrate actual accomplishments in patient care with detailed case reports on the treatment provided for a broad range of patient problems. Board certification is a unique honor following a process by which an individual orthodontist is thoroughly examined by an expert panel as to orthodontic knowledge and clinical skills.

I also regularly attend national and international conferences and am an active member of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists where I get the opportunity to learn about the latest techniques and advancements in the field of orthodontics. Being an active participant in continuing education allows me to provide my patients the best and most current care.

In the Office

All of our team members love their jobs and are honored whenever someone chooses to receive treatment at our practice. We understand that patients and their parents take time out of their busy schedule to be with us so every effort is made to make sure our schedule runs on time. We also understand that there may be questions along the way concerning treatment. Our team is knowledgeable, with many years of experience in the orthodontic field, and is always ready and willing to answer any questions and address any concerns.

Family Life

I am originally from East Lansing, MI, and moved to Plano, TX, recently. My wife, Shaily, is a physician, and we were just blessed with beautiful twin girls named Sanya and Saraya. I like spending as much of my free time as possible with my family. My other hobbies include photography, traveling, and exploring my beautiful new surroundings in Texas.
